EZ-De's Blog Hop with Clearsnap Day 2

Welcome to day 2 of our blog hop with Clearsnap, makers of fabulous inks, sprays, embossing powders and so much more!  The KellyCraft Design Team and Clearsnap Design Team will be showcasing KellyCraft's new line of EZ-De's Stamps paired with Clearsnap Inks....

With the holiday season rapidly approaching, my thoughts have turned to gift giving. While it may be a little early, if I don't get started now, I will never get it all done! I have made coasters in the past, and when I saw the EZ-De's by KellyCraft Flourish Alphabet stamps, I thought how perfect they were to make monogram coaster sets. And I love how the Crafter's ink works on all types of surfaces and that there are multiple colors to choose from.

Supplies used:
EZ-De's Flourish Alphabet stamp set
ColorBox Crafter's ink - Clearsnap
Life Is Good stamp set - Close To My Heart
Tumbled marble 4x4 tiles
Paste Finishing Wax - Minwax
Get-It-Straight Laser Square
Felt bumpers
Offray ribbon

First, wipe the excess dust off of your tiles. Then stamp the flourishes. To get the lighter color, I use a technique I learned from my wonderful friend LaJeania Hicks. Ink your stamp then stamp on a scrap piece of paper to lighten the ink. How light you want the color determines how many times you stamp it on the scrap. I did it twice then stamped on the tile.

Next, using my Get-It-Straight Laser Square,
I measured 1 & 1/4 inch from the bottom of the tile to stamp the K.
Once the ink is dry, waterproof the tiles by coating with finishing wax.

After the wax is dry, buff the tile. It will give it mild sheen.

Next place self adhesive felt bumpers to the bottom of the tile and you have a coaster!

Repeat to make a set, place together and finish off with a nice bow.
A thoughtful and beautiful personalized gift ready for giving!

With all the colors of ink to choose from Plus the
BRAND NEW Ann Butler colors above
(which have just been released today),
an entire alphabet,
plus you can use any stamps for the background,
it's easy to personalize these coasters to anyone on your list.

Flowers & Swirls Tag

Created by Lisa Rojas, Stampin' Queen Creations
Give The Queen A Call!

Hi Everyone,

I decided for my post today would be a large tag instead of a card.  This really pretty tag measures 6" x 6" and for me, it just screams Spring!  I love the bright colors with the flowers and swirls. This tag is something that won't end up in the trash can after your friend or family member sees it. They are going to want to place it in a frame and hang it on their wall!  What better way can you say that "I'm thinking of you!"

Flowers & Swirls Card

Supplies
3D Foam Tape
Mini Brads
Hole Punches- 1/16" and 1/4"
Ribbon
Blender Pen
Cardstock- Ivory, Blue, Green and Orange

Instructions

Pull together all of your supplies.  Cut cardstock as follows
Ivory- 5 1/2" x 5 1/2", Blue- 5 3/4" x 5/34", Green- 6" x 6".

On the ivory base tag and on a scrap piece of ivory, stamp
fence on each piece with mudslide inkpad, using the
Get-it-Straight Laser Square to align the stamp.
(See Below)

The Get-it-Straight Laser Square can now replace all
of those stamp positioners that you have collected over
the years.  It will position your stamps perfectly each
and every time you use it!

Color your fence images with chalk pencils and blend
your colors with a blender pen.  You only need to color
the edges of the fence image on your base tag.  The other
fence image will be placed on top of the base tag.
(See Below)

The fence image on the left is the base tag.  Cut
out the other fence image.

Using the Grand Calibur die cut machine and the floral
template, cut out multiple flowers.

The floral template and the rubber stamps are made
to use together.  Stamp floral images onto die cuts with
red devil and tangerine inkpads.

Curl flowers around a paintbrush.  Layer flowers
together and punch holes in flowers.  Insert brads.

Cut out swirls and leaves with die cut machine using
Jewel Flowers & Flourishes template.

Ink leaf edges with golf course inkpad.

Use a distresser to distress the edges of all three
pieces of the cardstock.  Place foam tape on fence
image and place on top of base tag image.

Use the Get-it-Straight Laser Square to layer all
three pieces of cardstock as shown above.  Adhere
layers together with Zip Dry.

To finish the tag, cut out two smaller tags with blue and
green cardstock, adhere together.  Stamp small tag with
"Thinking of You".  Adhere the flowers, leaves and
swirls onto tag with Zip Dry glue.  Punch hole in top
of tag and add ribbon.  Use completed tag for placement
if needed.

Autumn's All Around

Created by Lisa Rojas, Stampin' Queen Creations
Give The Queen A Call!!!

Hi Everyone,

I am back with another great project using the KellyCraft Get-it-Straight Laser Square. I know that I have said it before, but really, I love this product! This tool is what I call my all-in-one! I have been stamping for many years and I can't tell you how many times my project is almost finished and I stamp that last image only to have it not stamp completely on my paper. How frustrating! Well, with my Get-it-Straight Laser Square not only can I line my page elements up perfectly, I can also use it to re-stamp my incomplete images. I am so in love!

This project is a fairly simple to create and sunflowers for me, always remind me of Autumn. With the stamped sunflower and a few embellishments, you have a wonderful project that you can hang on the wall or sit it on your table. And for a beautiful table centerpiece, place your frame on a table next to a vase filled with sunflowers. Now that would be very, very pretty.

Supplies

8" Square Canvas
Pattern Paper
Cardstock- Tan, Rust, Brown & Yellow
Lace & Trim
Straw Ribbon
Brown Ribbon
Acetate Words
Glue Gun
Micro Beads
Dove Blender Pen

and the butterfly twice.

Color the stamped images with Faber-Castell chalk pencils
and blend the colors with a blender pen

and cover with micro beads. Pour excess beads back
into the container

Using a Cricut Personal Cutting Machine with the Fancy Frames
cartridge, cut out three frames with yellow, brown & rust
cardstock. Adhere the frames together. Add foam tape to the
back of the frames

Cut out all three sunflowers. Add foam tape between each
sunflower and adhere to the frames. Cut out both butterflies
and adhere them together at the butterfly's bodies, leaving
the wings free

Using the Get-it-Straight Laser Square, line up all of
your elements and adhere to the canvas.

After you have added all of your elements, adhere trim
around outer edge of the canvas with a glue gun.
