"U" Make Me Happy Valentine Card

Aligning the elements for this Valentine card was easy thanks to the KellyCraft Get-it-Straight™ Laser Square!

Materials:

KellyCraft Get-it-Straight™ Laser Square
Cosmo Cricket TV Dinner papers and Tiny Text stickers
Gold foil tape
ImpressArt Metal Stamps Newsprint set, stamping block, brass stamping hammer
Sizzix Big Shot, Primitive Hearts die
Earth Safe Finishes black acrylic paint
The Best Glue Ever
Chipboard “U”
Heart pin accent



Instructions:

Cut patterned paper to 6" x 6" and fold in half to create card.

Following manufacturer instructions, cut 10 small hearts from coordinating patterned papers using Primitive Hearts die and Sizzix Big Shot. 

Cut strip of coordinating paper 1”  x 6".

Use KellyCraft Get-it-Straight™ Laser Square to align strip of paper approximately 1/4" from outside right front edge of card, mount.

Arrange 9 hearts, overlapping vertically, on front right edge of card, using Get-it-Straight™ Laser Square to align centers of hearts.  Mount.

Cut two 3/4" x 6" strips of patterned paper, mount to outer edges of inside of card. 


Cover chipboard “u” with coordinating paper.  Add 10th heart to upper left of “u”. 

Place “make” and “me” word stickers beneath heart on “u”.

Mount inside back of card.

Use metal stamps to stamp strip of gold foil tape with “HAPPY” repeatedly.   Apply black acrylic paint, gently rub off to remove paint from non-stamped areas. 

Use Get-it-Straight™ Laser Square to apply line of glue along bottom inside of card where foil tape will be mounted.



Mount stamped foil tape to inside of card, using Get-it-Straight™ Laser Square to ensure proper alignment.

Use Get-it-Straight™ Laser Square to align and mount piece of stamped gold foil to bottom front of card, overlapping heart pin accent over bottom vertical heart.
