Mama Said..... Card by Martha Lucia Gomez

Mama Said....
By Martha Lucia Gomez

Hi everyone, Martha Lucia here with a fun project to share with you. I love my Get-It-Straight Laser Square and Multi Mat and creating this kind of cards is very easy when you use them.

MATERIALS:
  • KellyCraft™
    • Get-it-Straight™ Laser Square
    • Multi-Mat™
    • Jimbo Lojik™ Stamp Set E
  • Card stock Whisper White, Crumb Cake and Cherry Cobbler (Stampin Up)
  • Designer Series Paper in two different tones
  • Sunflower Trio Die-Namites Die Cut
  • Big Shot (Sizzix)
  • Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
  • Snail Adhesive, Tombo Multi Liquid Glue and Dimensionals
  • Thick Yellow Bakers Twine
  • Scalloped Tag Topper Punch (Stampin Up)

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Cut the base of your card using a whisper white card stock . The size of the card is a regular size 5-1/2"x4-1/4". Then cut two stripes of Designer Series Paper, one of 5-1/2" x 3/4" and the other of 5-1/2" x 1-3/4".
2.  Paste the layers of the Designer Paper over the card base using the Laser Square to align your paper.

In my model I pasted the first layer 1/2" to the left side.
3. Cut two tags using the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch. For the first tag you can use a piece of paper of 2" x 4-1/4". For the second you can use a piece of paper  1-3/4" wide. The length of your second tag depends on your  layering. After cutting the tags, layer this using the Laser square and stamp the sentiment. I used one of the sentiments included in Jimbo Lojik Stamp Set E.

To stamp you images or sentiments you can also use the laser square to align all your stamps.
4.  Now that your tag is finished you can paste it over the base of your card using dimensionals.

5. Use your big shot to cut two Sunflowers Trio Dies in two different colors. I used the whisper white and cherry cobbler.  Then paste the white piece over the red slightly to the right to create dimension.

6. Put some dimensional behind the flowers, align with your laser square and paste over your card base.

7. To finalize the decoration you can use some negative die cut parts or scraps of your flowers.  These little parts made a real difference to the overall look of the card.
I hope you liked my card and come back soon for more inspiration!
