The hostess this month for our scrapbooking group requested a layout to feature her teenage daughter. I used random stamping, embossing, and of course I also used my KellyCraft Get-It-Straight™ Laser Square and Multi-Mat™, to make sure everything was lined up perfectly.
Materials:
KellyCraft™- Get-It-Straight™ Laser Square
- Multi-Mat™
- Flaxen Extra Thick Twine
- Glacier, Lagoon, Flaxen, Sunset, Smoothie, & Pixie Ink Pads
- Flaxen, Smoothie, Lagoon, Glacier, & Colonial White Cardstock
- Aqua Dots and Flamingo Dots
- Arrows, Diamonds, & Chevron Embossing Folders
- Artbooking & Artiste Cricut Cartridge
Cuttle Bug
Adhesive (Glue Dots, Pop Dots, Scotch ATG)
Instructions:
Instructions:
1. Cut the paper as listed:
Sunset patterned paper – 6”x8”; 5”x3 ¾” (2); 2”x12”; 1 ¼”x 2 ½” (Dovetail the end)
Dot patterned paper – 5 ½”x7 ½”; 1 ¾”x12”
Chevron patterned paper – 1 ¾”x 3” (Dovetail the end)
Glacier patterned paper – 2”x1 ½” (Dovetail the end)
Glacier Cardstock – 12”x12” (2)
Colonial White Cardstock – 11”x11” (2)
Flaxen Cardstock – 3 ½”x4 ½”
Smoothie Cardstock – 3 ½”x4 ½”
Lagoon Cardstock – 3 ½”x4 ½”
2. Next, sponge ink the edges of all pieces of paper tone on tone. I used flaxen ink on the
dot patterned paper and lagoon ink on the colonial white paper.
3. Use your Get-It-Straight Laser Square and mat to align the paper in the embossing folder so that your design is embossed straight and then emboss each piece using the Cuttle Bug or other embossing machine.
4. Using the Get-It-Straight™ Laser Square, stamp each letter of the title, putting each line
of the title 1 ½” below the line above.
5. Random Stamp the Colonial White Cardstock. I start with the largest stamp and make diagonals across the page, turning the stamp and changing colors each time. Next take the second largest stamp and make diagonals across the page starting on the other side. Lastly, take the smaller stamps and fill in the empty page until your paper has the desired look.
