Light blue, rose card stock 
Patterned paper of choice 

May Arts leaf ribbon 

Beacon Adhesives Premium Tacky Glue 

Blumenthal Lansing Value Pack Autumn Burst Felt Buttons, Value Pack Happy  

Instructions: 

Cut blue card stock to 8” x 6 1/4” and fold in half to form card. 

Cut a piece of 5 3/4” x 3 1/2” rose card stock. 

Cut patterned paper to 5 1/2” x 3 1/4”.

Ink “Country GIrl” with Coral ink and stamp onto blue card stock.  Trim around verse. 

Cut rose card stock mat approximately 1/8” larger on all sides than verse.

Ink checkered border stamp with ink and stamp along outside front edge of card. 

Cut piece of patterned paper 1 5/8” x 6 1/4”.  

Ink edges of all papers.

Mount verse onto rose mat, using Get-it-Straight™ Laser Square to ensure it is straight.  

Mount 1 5/8” strip of patterned paper inside on back of card next to fold. 

Mount verse centered on patterned paper, 1 1/4” from bottom edge, using Get-it-Straight™ Laser Square to ensure it is straight.  

Mount larger piece of patterned paper onto rose card stock.  Mount, centered on front of card, using Get-it-Straight™ Laser Square to ensure it is straight.    

Mount 3” strip of leaf ribbon on lower left of card front. 

Mount 3/8” pink button onto 3/4” light green button, mount onto center of yellow felt flower button.  Mount to top of leaf ribbon, with left edge of flower extending slightly off card.

Brick card stock, off-white card stock

Westcott® paper trimmer, scissors

Beacon Adhesives® Zip-Dry glue 

Instructions: 

Cut patterned paper 10 1/2” x 5”.  Fold in half to form card. 

Cut ladies clothing advertisement from patterned paper.  (Approximate size is 4 1/2” x  3 3/4”).   Ink edges with gold ink.

Use Zip-Dry glue to mount to brick card stock.  Trim to create mat approximately 1/8” larger than patterned paper.  Ink edges with gold ink. 

Use Get-it-Straight™ Laser Square to align image centered on card, mount. 

Ink “SOME DAYS...JUST AREN’T WORTH PUTTING A BRA ON!” stamp with black ink.  Stamp onto off white card stock.  Trim around verse.  Ink edges with gold ink. 

Mount verse onto brick card stock.  Trim to create mat approximately 1/8” wider on left and right sides, and 1/4” wider on top and bottom.  Ink edges with gold ink. 

Use Get-it-Straight™ Laser Square to align stamped image centered on card, approximately 1/8” from right edge.  Mount. 

Mount gold button to top upper corner of verse. 

Use Get-it-Straight™ Laser Square to align and mount crochet trim along bottom of card. 

Cut rectangle of off white card stock with brick red card stock mat to fit inside of card.  Ink edges with gold ink.  Mount inside card.

5/8” Brown gross-grain ribbon

Instructions:

   

Place Get-it-Straight™ Laser Square in Multi-Mat™.  Place muslin onto Multi-Mat™ with 9 1/2” edge facing up and hold in place with magnets.  Measure in 2” from right edge and 1 1/2” from top edge.  Set laser on 3”. 

Ink first EZ-De’s™ triangle stamp with Tangelo ink. Stamp first triangle, with flat edge facing left and point aligned on laser line.

Ink second triangle stamp with Sunshine ink, stamp next to orange, using laser to align. 

Ink third stamp with Jungle ink and stamp next to yellow triangle. 

Move laser to bottom tip of stamped triangles.  

Reapply Tangelo ink to first stamp and stamp about 1/2” from outside left edge with flat side facing down, using laser to align flat edge with points of top triangles. 

Continue stamping with Sunshine, then Jungle, then repeat twice more for 9 triangles on the edge.  

Continue stamping 3 on opposite edge, then 9 on opposite side, using Laser Square to align as you go. 

Heat set ink with iron. 

Embroider with running stitch around each triangle with coordinating embroidery floss.  

Stitch wooden leaf buttons into 4 corners of stamped images as shown. 

Use Fabri-Tac adhesive to mount stamped muslin centered on burlap.  

Use Fabri-Tac adhesive to mount ribbon to cover edges of muslin. 

Remove strings from long sides of burlap to allow for raw edge approximately 1/4”. 

Remove strings on short sides of burlap to leave 1 1/2” raw edge.

Place burlap onto Multi-Mat™ and use magnets to hold edge in place.

Take approximately 7 strings and tie into knot, then continue along edge to end.  Repeat on opposite short size of burlap.

The holidays are right around the corner (geez, did I just say that?) and we all need to get ready to create our holiday cards.  I will be sharing two different cards, this one and another for December.  When you're creating cards for the holidays you want them to be simple but pretty!  Of course with the Get-it-Straight Laser Square you'll have the simple part down!  And with your creativity if you choose to design your own, or even if you recreate this one, you'll definitely have the pretty!

Instructions

Gather all of your supplies.  Cut papers as follows-

Dark Green- 4 3/4"W x 7"H, Burgundy- 3 3/4"W x 5 1/2"H

Off White- 3 1/4"W x 3 1/2"H and Pattern Paper

4 1/4"W x 2 1/2"H.

Run burgundy cardstock through the

Grand Calibur machine with die cut.

Stamp holly on off white cardstock.  Color with color

pencils.  Blend colors with Gamsol solution and a stump.

Run ribbon through bottom of card.  Attach gold thread ribbon to cardstock with needle.

Ink edges of papers.

Adhere stamped cardstock to

burgundy cardstock with Zip Dry.

Use Get-it-Straight Laser Square

to align papers

and adhere papers together with Zip Dry glue.

Align pearls to the top of the card with the

Get-it-Straight Laser Square.

Adhere sticker to the bottom of the card.

Brown embroidery thread, needle, scissors
Towel with flat bar strip

Instructions:

Ink EZ-De's rail stamp with Crafter's ink and stamp onto flat bar strip of towel.  The clear stamps make it easy to align each section when stamping across the towel.  Heat set with an iron.

Repeat on back of towel, and opposite end of towel if towel has two flat strip sections.

Arrange sew-on elements over stamped strip.  Stitch in place with embroidery floss.

"Life is Better"

Well, school has started and at our house that means summer is officially over. I was talking to several teachers in the hallway on Monday about the things we will miss the most about summer. I think we all came to the agreement, that one of the things at the top of our list was flip-flops! After spending the day up and down the halls in a pair of heals, our feet were certainly missing the carefree, summer days spent wearing flip-flops. Let's face it, "Life is better in flip-flops!" When I saw this sentiment on the new Jimbo Lojik stamp set made by Kellycraft, I knew that I wanted to create a card for my teacher buddies. I wanted the cards to be bright and cheerful so I choose the Dream Pop paper pack and used the ColorBox Crafter's ink in Sweet Pea, Aruba, and Fire.

“You Ain’t Right!”

The new Jimbo Logik™ line of stamps from Kellycraft™ has something to make almost anyone laugh out loud!   

The one from my set that immediately popped out begging to be made into a card for a friend was “You Ain’t Right!”   I can think of soooo many ways to finish the verse with this one - and it would apply to so many people lol!    Friends, family, co-workers, the list is almost endless ;0).   This time I went with a fun card to (hopefully!) make a friend laugh.

Materials: 

Jimbo Logik™ stamps by Kellycraft™

EZ-De’s Stamps™ by Kellycraft™ - 1 x 3” Rails Set A 

Clearsnap® ColorBox® Very Berry Archival Dye Ink 

Clearsnap® ColorBox® Lime Pigment Brush Pad 

Clearsnap® SmoochGlitz™ Pink Fizz 

Pink heart patterned paper 

Pink striped patterned paper

Lime green card stock 

Pink and lime green 1/4” grossgrain ribbon

Blumenthal Lansing square white and pink heart buttons 

Westcott® Paper Trimmer

Beacon Adhesives ZipDry™ Glue 

E-6000® Adhesive 

Instructions: 

Cut lime green card stock to 5 1/2 x 8 1/2”.  Fold in half to create card. 

Cut pink striped patterned paper approximately 5 x 3 1/2”.  Tear along one edge.  Ink edges with Very Berry ColorBox® ink pad.  Mount askew onto card front with ZipDry™, allowing some edges to extend beyond card front. 

Cut piece of pink heart patterned paper approximately 4 1/2 x 3”.  Tear along one edge.  

Ink “You Ain’t Right!” stamp with Lime green ColorBox® ink and stamp randomly 
in various directions on pink heart paper.  Ink edges with Lime green ink pad.  Mount askew over striped paper allowing some edges to extend over card front.  

Ink checkerboard stamp from EZ-De’s Stamps™ with Very Berry Ink.  Stamp onto piece of lime green card stock.  Cut to approximately 1 1/2 x 3”.  Tear along one 1 1/2” edge.  Ink edges with Very Berry ink pad.  Mount askew in center of pink heart paper.  

Ink You Ain’t Right!” stamp with Very Berry ColorBox® ink and stamp onto strip of white card stock.  Trim and ink edges with Lime green ink pad.   Mount Askew over checkerboard stamped card stock.  

Cut pieces of green and pink ribbons approximately 2 1/2”.  Cut ends at angle and mount over upper left corner of verse with E-6000.  Mount buttons in center using E-6000.  

Randomly add Pink Fizz SmoochGlitz™ to some of the hearts on the patterned paper. 

Print verse for inside (Dakota-Handwriting font matches stamp).  Trim around verse and ink edges with Lime card stock.  

Layer papers for inside of card as desired, inking edge of striped paper with Very Berry ink pad, and heart paper with Lime green ink pad.  Add verse.
